Christmas is almost here, which means that it’s time to get into the holiday spirit! Gather your family and friends and take part in Wasaga Beach’s annual holiday weekend by attending the Santa Claus Parade and the Funderland Event. These festive gatherings will take place on Saturday November 23 and Sunday November 24, 2019.

Free up your weekend, assemble your loved ones, bring your hot cocoa and take part in some fun community activities. Here’s a quick look at these exciting holiday events:

Santa Claus Parade

On November 23^rd, the Town of Wasaga will be hosting the annual Santa Claus parade, plus a tree lighting that will take place later in the evening. The Santa Claus parade will begin at 5:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm. Visit the RecPlex located on 1724 Mosley Street to enjoy some live bands, extraordinary floats, candy and other delicious treats!

Directly after, only moments away from the parade, the town of Wasaga will be commemorating the annual tree lighting. This will take place at Oakview Woods, where you will find caroling, refreshments and a spot where you and your loved ones can take photos with Santa.

Funderland

The holiday festivities don’t end there. Wake up on November 24^th and continue the holiday celebrations at Wasaga Beach’s yearly Funderland Festival. This will take place from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Wasaga Beach RecPlex on 1724 Mosley Street.

Enjoy free entertainment by participating in exciting activities such as face painting, birdfeeder building, bouncy castles, Body Zorb Balls, puppet shows, arts and crafts and much more. Funderland is a family favourite here in Wasaga!
